1. Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies (NCDS)

The Nabakrushna Choudhury Centre for Development Studies (NCDS) is ICSSR institute jointly funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Government of India and Government of Odisha. NCDS undertakes and promote research in social sciences and socio-economic problems of India in general and the state of Odisha in particular by providing academic and professional assistance to the government departments, government agencies, universities, civil society organisations, International Bodies, etc. It also conducts a Phd programmes in development studies in collaboration with Utkal University. Focusing on socio-economic research, this institute is the only one of its kind that serves as a policy think tank in the state of Odisha.

Directorate of Agriculture & Food Production, Odisha, Bhubaneswar

The Department of Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment consists of 4 executive wings namely, Directorate of Agriculture & Food Production, Directorate of Horticulture, Directorate of Soil Conservation and Odisha Watershed Development Mission. Directorate of Agriculture & Food Production oversees the crop specific initiatives for food production of the state. It oversee the implementation of food production activities through the deputy director of agriculture at district level.

2. WASSAN (Watershed Support Service and Activities Network)

WASSAN is a group of national level support and resource organization. As a network based organization, WASSAN Group of Institutions is a member of several networks such as Revitalization of Rain-fed Agriculture Network, Consortium of System of Rice Intensification, Rain-fed Live Stock Network, Low Carbon Farming Network, etc. WASSAN has traditionally worked very closely government on the rainfed and dryland agriculture. In the past, It has worked with state governments of Odisha, Tripura, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir. WASSAN has worked in different capacities such as resource support organization, lead technical agency, programme secretariat, monitoring, evaluations agency, capacity building agency and documentation agency.
